Originally a farmhouse dating back to the 14th century, the house has been improved and modernised over the years to provide comfortable and spacious self-catering accommodation in South West UK, close to the Devon and Somerset border.
Hurstone is quiet, peaceful and seemingly remote, yet it's only 3 hours from London by road and less than 2 hours by train. There are excellent airlinks via Exeter and Bristol.
The house sleeps 14/16 people in 7 bedrooms, with 5 bathrooms. The rooms have south facing views overlooking meadows and the wooded valley of the River Tone.
Hurstone offers the perfect place for a getaway all year round - whether you are looking for a family holiday in the summer or a winter weekend break with friends. Warm comfortable rooms with open fires, central heating and an outdoor Jacuzzi. Close to the Somerset & Devon border, the property lies within 20 minutes of the M5. Railway stations at Taunton and Tiverton are within 30 minutes by car and give good rail links across the country. There are also airports at Bristol and Exeter, both within an hours drive.
