Stride out from the doorstep and wander the footpath and trails through meadows and woodlands; pootle about the winding country lanes to discover villages tucked away in the hillside and river valleys. A stone’s throw away is Hurstone Nature Reserve, rich in flora and fauna, where the huge pillars of the former Devon & Somerset railway stand sentinel in the landscape.
